Aloe vera for beautiful hair

In order to take the best care of your hair, you should use appropriately selected hair care products. It is important to provide your hair with nutrients that will make it not only beautiful, but above all healthy. You should also take proper care of the scalp, the condition of which has a significant impact on the appearance of our hair. It is worth including aloe vera, known for its highly moisturizing and nourishing properties, in your daily care.

Aloe vera for hair – how does it work?

Aloe vera gel for hair

  • moisturizes both the strands and the scalpsoothes itching and burning, restores comfort to the scalp
  • helps in the treatment of dry dandruff
  • restores the proper pH
  • stimulates the growth of strong hair and nourishes the bulbs
  • smoothes and gently polishes
  • protects against free radicals
  • protects against the harmful effects of sunlight

Lovely, right? However, you have to remember one thing!

Just in case, do an allergy test, for example on a small area of skin. Check if you feel itchy or burning after a few hours. This happens extremely rarely, and very few people are allergic to aloe vera, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.

How to use aloe vera gel on hair?

Aloe vera gel can be applied directly to the hair or used as an ingredient in home cosmetics or as an addition to cosmetics from the shop. You can add aloe vera to your favorite mask or shampoo – thanks to this, the strands will gain an additional dose of hydration. In addition, aloe vera is an ally for sensitive skin because it has a soothing effect.

Hair lotion

The easiest way to use aloe vera gel is with a hair scrub. Just rub a small amount of aloe into the strands and scalp and leave it without rinsing. The product will be absorbed quickly. Basically, it shouldn’t weigh the strands down, but don’t overdo it.

Aloe moisturizes and smoothes the hair, but simply massaged into the strands will not bring any spectacular effects. It is much better as a base for home cosmetics.

Hair oiling with aloe vera

Hair oiling with aloe vera gel will bring much better results.

Start by combining aloe vera gel and oil in a ratio of 1:1 (for instant one tablespoon of aloe vera gel and one tablespoon of oil). Apply this mixture to damp hair. Leave your hair without rinsing for several dozen minutes, and then thoroughly wash the mixture.

You can also use on dry hair. First, apply aloe vera gel to the entire length of the hair, then rub the selected oil into the strands. Likewise, wash your hair thoroughly after several dozen minutes.

A mixture of aloe vera, water and vegetable oil is also recommended. You mix all ingredients in equal amounts. Then you spread it over dry hair.

Finally, a little tip

If you want to grow aloe vera yourself and then use the plant’s leaves for home care, there are a few things to keep in mind.

Aloe vera can be applied directly to the skin, for example for burns, but the plant should be at least 3 years old.

If you want to use aloe vera, stop watering the plant for a week and collect the leaves after 7 days.

Always choose leaves that grow lower because they are older. The young ones (from the inside) will not give the expected results.
