Here is my best chocolate brownie recipe. The cake is intense chocolate, moist and soft. Home smells wonderful with chocolate when baking. The recipe is great, very simple and fast, I highly recommend it. Perfect for Christmas 🎄

Ingredients

  • 130 grams dark chocolate (½ cup+3 tbsp)
  • 120 grams butter (½ cup+1 tbsp)
  • 80 grams sugar (¼ cup+2 tbsp)
  • 3 eggs
  • pinch of salt
  • cinnamon and cardamom pinch of each
  • 80 grams flour (½ cup)
  • 1 tbsp salted caramel
  • 80 grams walnuts or almonds (chopped) (¼ cup)

How to make it

Chocolate brownie
  1. Preheat oven to 160°C. Grease a brownie tin and line with baking paper.
  2. Melt chocolate and butter on medium heat.
  3. Add sugar, eggs, salt and flour then mix together with a mixer or whisk.
  4. Next add spices, caramel and nuts and mix with spatula.
  5. Transfer to prepared tin, distributing batter evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-22 minutes until the skewer inserted in a centre comes out with few damp crumbs.
  7. Remove from tin and leave to cool then serve chocolate brownies, cut in squares.
