Lamb and carrot pasta

Very simple lamb and carrot pasta for lunch or dinner. This recipe can be served with any kind of pasta. Quick and easy idea for delicious food.

This recipe is enough for 3 people.


  • 400g penne pasta
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 400g lamb mince
  • 80ml (⅓ cup) red wine
  • 400g (1 can) chopped tomatoes
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • bunch of corriander, chopped
  • grated parmesan for sprinkle

How to make it

  1. Cook penne following packet instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In the meantime heat a non-stick pan over a medium heat, add olive oil, onion and garlic. Cook until onion is soft.
  3. Add lamb mince and cook for 5-6 minutes.
  4. Pour the wine and simmer until reduced by half following by tomatoes. Simmer for around 5 minutes.
  5. Next add carrot and cook for around 5 minutes.
  6. Toss hot pasta with mince sauce.
  7. Divide pasta among serving bowls.
  8. Serve with parmesan cheese and corriander.
